I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12

What to Expect

If you have never visited us, we would love to have you! Below is a description of what you will find when you visit.

Very friendly people – NCCC is known for its welcoming atmosphere so come early or stay for a few minutes afterward and get to meet some new people.

Casual dress – come as you are!

Singing – we love to sing,  and everyone can participate in praising God from the heart. In the 8:30am and 11:00am acapella services, singing is led up front by a Worship Leader along with several singers. The harmonies are beautiful, God receives praise and worship, and hearts are lifted up. In the 8:30am “Generations” service upstairs, instruments are used to accompany the many voices lifted in praise of our Lord.  No matter which style leads you into true  worship, the goal is to encourage one another and “make music in our hearts to the Lord.”

Sermon – usually there is a 30 minute lesson given on a topic that is relevant to the church or individual spiritual growth. Usually the sermon is one of a series on one general topic.

Prayers – there are usually at least two prayers led by different men from the congregation. We believe in participation more than “polish” and we love the diversity that comes from different members coming from different walks of life and perspectives.

Communion – each Sunday we take of the Lord’s Supper because Jesus gave us that practice to do regularly to remember Him. Trays are passed down the aisles, one with bread (Matzo cracker) and one with the cup (individual cups of grape juice). Anyone is welcome to participate in this memorial time which is meaningful to anyone who understands the symbolism of the body and blood of Christ.

Offering – a collection tray is passed down each aisle also for the members to give their offering. We do not ask for or expect donations from those who are visiting us and we do not plead for money. Giving is an individual commitment each person makes to God.

Bible Classes – There are Bible Classes for all ages. Please see this website for the age groups you are interested in. All Bible classes and Children’s classes are at 10am, between the two worship services.
